Event Production Milton Keynes

Inspirational Event Production in Milton Keynes

Throughout March, April and May 2020 healthcare workers across the UK faced a deadly virus on a daily basis, looked after thousands of scared and bewildered patients, and kept the NHS going during a national crisis. Millions of people showed their appreciation on Thursday nights with a heartfelt #ClapforCarers. In Milton Keynes we went a step further.

Red Occasions was delighted to be asked by long time clients, partners and friends at MK University Hospital to create a #LightItBlue event to acknowledge the amazing work of our healthcare professionals. Using our outdoor lighting equipment, we flooded the exterior of the hospital in blue lighting, whilst simultaneously projecting the many thank you messages that were pouring in. As event production in Milton Keynes goes, that was certainly the most emotional to date!

Event Production – The Heart Of What We Do

We may not always be reflecting the national mood with our event production in Milton Keynes, but we consistently strive to create uniquely memorable experiences. Whether it’s an award ceremony, a music event or a business conference, Red Occasions combines technical expertise, project management and production design to make moments that register emotionally and professionally.

Case Study – Milton Keynes Open University, TEDx Event

TED Talks are all about the inspirational power of ideas. One person stands on a stage in front of an audience. Over the course of 18 minutes or less they talk about their passion – whether it’s teaching, science, self-care or architecture. Underpinning each TED event is a “passionate belief in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives, and ultimately the world”.

Our long-time clients The Open University, were hosting a community based TEDx event. They asked Red Occasions to transform their traditional lecture lecture into an inspirational environment in which to host it. The most important spot at a TED event is the centre of the stage where the speaker stands. Our set design reflected this. A fully printed and wrapped set angled inwards to focus the eye, black carpeting removed distraction, and monitors provided presenters with a countdown timer.

Outside the lecture hall we created screens for the spill-over audience, a branded wall for photo opportunities, and 24 AXI Pixel Tubes to lift the space and reflect the sense of event occurring in the main venue. For Red Occasions this was a chance to work with a major global brand on behalf of The Open University. Most important, though, was the feedback of our clients who were thrilled with the transformation we’d achieved, and the impact it had on their event.
